The GMCVB makes adventure, history and culture more accessible than ever with Miami Attraction & Museum Months. The two-month long program invites visitors and those vacationing in their backyard to explore the destination’s hot spots and hidden gems, offering special discounts, events and BOGO deals through May 31. Best of the Best Music Fest |
|
On May 29, South Florida's premiere Caribbean music fest returns to Bayfront Park overlooking the waters of Biscayne Bay. Best of the Best International Music Festival is an event/concert like no other. It is a 10-hour long cultured experience with the best lineup of pop, R&B, soca, reggae, hip-hop and Caribbean music. It's one of the largest international music festivals in North America today, with a history of attendance averaging 25k to 30k people and still growing. Now in its 16th year, Best of the Best has been built to legendary status by bringing crowds to their feet with classic artist performances! |

Fresh off the heels of Diversity Awareness Month, is May which celebrates multiple heritages! This month, explore and celebrate Haitian Heritage, Jewish American Heritage and Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month by visiting our Multicultural Miami page to learn more about our mosaic of cultures manifested through art, music, food and unique experiences. By celebrating diversity, the goal is that people will get a deeper understanding of each other and well is be more engaged in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Tee Up for the H.O.T. Challenge Golf Tournament |
|
The GMCVB hosts their 29th Annual H.O.T. Challenge Golf Tournament, benefiting the Black Hospitality Initiative (BHI), this Friday, May 6 at the Miami Beach Golf Club. Focused on advancing economic participation for Black Americans in Greater Miami and Miami Beach’s hospitality industry, the BHI has awarded more than 450 scholarships and raised over $3.5 million in scholarship funds since its launch in 1991. |

Art of Black Miami Podcast |
|
The GMCVB officially launched the second-annual Art of Black Miami Podcast Series highlighting and introducing the stories of local artists whose style of work is represented or influenced by South Florida’s diverse landscape. The new season features 15-minute conversational-style interviews with Addonis Parker, Michelle Lisa Polissaint, Cornelius Tulloch, and other Black, Latin, and LGBTQ+ artists who contribute to the rich culture of Miami and Miami Beach. Art of Black Miami Podcast Series II kicked off last month featuring Addonis Parker. Tune in monthly as we introduce and highlight Miami-based artists sharing their experiences and artistic expression influenced by Miami’s cultural landscape. The podcast is available to stream for free on the GMCVB website (ArtofBlackMiami.com), Podbean, Google Podcasts, and Spotify. |

$100 Million Goal to Advance Tech Equity is Within Reach |
|
The Miami Foundation stood alongside the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, aīre ventures, and JPMorgan Chase to launch Tech Equity Miami – a transformative initiative to deploy $100 million in philanthropic funding over five years to advance equity in Miami through tech. With the recent acceleration of the tech sector in Miami, the initiative's aim is to focus on expanding opportunities for underrepresented groups to build a robust, thriving, and inclusive tech ecosystem for all Miamians. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime is inviting the community to experience the magic of Haitian culture, art, music and food by participating in the annual celebration of Haitian Heritage Cultural Month during the month of May. Highlights of this year’s celebrations include Commissioner Monestime’s Haitian Heritage Cultural Month opening reception, Taste of Haiti, Sounds of Little Hait and much more.
