Nu Deco Ensemble Featuring Wyclef Jean
 
Join Nu Deco Ensemble, on December 10,  at the Arsht Center for a dynamic, collaborative performance.  Joining them is the Haitian-born, multi-Grammy-winning artist Wyclef Jean.  In addition, Nu Deco will welcome internationally acclaimed and Grammy Award-nominated pianist Terrence Wilson.  Click here for more information. 
 
 
 
Hadestown
 
The Arsht Center's Broadway in Miami series brings the haunting and hopeful musical Hadestown to the Ziff Ballet Opera House December 6-11. This critically acclaimed musical, winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, reimagines the Orpheus and Eurydice myth in American vernacular. Created by celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown is a love story that invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back.
 
 
 
Where We Stand
 
Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD)  introduced our first in the nation Artist-in-Residence Program in Miami’s Liberty City.  To commemorate the new program, local artist Addonis Parker opened his latest and final exhibit titled “Where We Stand”.  The exhibit, running through January 6, encompasses a positive but spiritual view of the Black community’s silent protest. Spanish Dances at the New World Center
 
Carlos Miguel Prieto returns to lead an extraordinary celebration of Manuel de Falla.  Regarded by many as the greatest Spanish composer of the 20th century, Falla brings the sounds of his homeland—especially Andalusian flamenco—to the stage on December 9 and 10.  Click here for ticket information.
 
 
 
Vibra Urbana Miami

Get to know The Miami Circle Walking Tour
 
Join Dade Heritage Trust, on December 10, on a waterfront walking tour to get to know the Miami Circle!  The Miami Circle on the south bank of the Miami River was a Tequesta Indian ceremonial space, saved from development in the 1990’s. It’s a great story, an amazing venue - yet few know the facts behind the history, archaeology and advocacy efforts that protected this valuable piece of property fronting the mouth of the Miami River.  More details here.

North Beach Music Festival
 
Get ready to jam with some the nation's top jam, funk, and improv bands at the 2nd edition of the North Beach Music Festival. Celebrate International Human Rights weekend at a free expo that brings together all of the City of Miami Beach's human rights related committees. Learn about each participating committee, the issues they deal with on behalf of Miami Beach residents and visitors as well as how you can get involved!  It will take place on December 11 at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.
 
 
 
Ecofest at the Fountain!
 
Clean Miami Beach and Normandy Fountain Business Association are hosting Miami Beach’s first ever EcoFest at the Normandy Fountain on December 11.  The Fest will feature local sustainable vendors, live music with Suenalo, food, eco-action activities for kids and much more – everything plastic free of course.

La Alegria de Vivir: A Moment in Venezuelan Jewish Life 
 
La Alegria de Vivir: A Moment in Venezuelan Jewish Life is a series of colorful paintings by Silvia Cohen inspired by life in Venezuela in the 50’s and 60’s. Cohen chose unique moments from her own story and those of family and friends to illustrate Venezuela’s vibrant Jewish community. The Miami Gardens Street Fair & Marketplace
