Hello everyone:
There are certain traditions that become part of the fabric of a destination. For 25 years, Miami Spice Restaurant Months has been one of them.
What began in 2002 as an economic development initiative to support our restaurant community during the quieter summer months has grown into one of Greater Miami and Miami Beach’s most anticipated culinary celebrations. This year, that tradition reaches a remarkable milestone: 25 years of bringing residents and visitors together to experience new flavors and old favorites, explore our neighborhoods and enjoy our incredible restaurants at exceptional savings.
And what a difference 25 years can make.
Miami Spice now stretches far beyond the boundaries of where the program began, with participating restaurants representing communities throughout Miami-Dade County. From east to west and top to bottom, this year’s expanded geographic footprint gives diners an opportunity not only to discover, but rediscover, the remarkable culinary diversity that makes our destination unique. More than 400 restaurants are participating this year, now through Sept. 30. Over the years, Miami Spice has also helped elevate our culinary scene, laying out the foundation for another important GMCVB initiative: bringing the MICHELIN Guide to Greater Miami and Miami Beach.
