Hello everyone,
Hopefully everyone who can is getting into the World Cup spirit. Here in Greater Miami and Miami Beach, it’s been wonderful to watch the tournament come to life at the FIFA Fan Festival™ at Bayfront Park, the opening concert with Pitbull and the kickoff celebration on Miami Beach featuring Carlos Vives. The images from the past several days have been equally memorable. From Brazil's passionate fans to Scotland's legendary Tartan Army – with much appreciation to our partners at the Miami Marlins for helping welcome them – the energy and enthusiasm have been remarkable.
With marquee matches still ahead and the tournament entering its most exciting stages, we look forward to sharing more about the event's impact on visitation, hotel performance and tax revenues. Early indicators remain encouraging, and updated figures later this week will provide an even clearer picture of the benefits the World Cup is generating for our community.
