Hello everyone:

Wanted to use this edition of What’s Happening to serve up some really wonderful – and dare I say, delicious news.

Continuing our community’s upward and leading trend of accolades and rankings, Travel + Leisure – one of the leading and most influential travel and lifestyle publications/platforms – just named Miami the “Best city in the U.S. for food lovers.”  As the publication noted, ‘From Cuban cafecitos to MICHELIN-starred fine dining, Miami tops foodie rankings.”  The writer of the story further promotes, “The culinary culture is every bit as bold and vibrant as its street art and nightlife.”

To help put this in context, to purchase a full-page ad in Travel + Leisure would cost $215,000. T+L boasts a current circulation of 971,624 subscribers – but know the magazine is displayed and shared with others.  More importantly, T+L has a current online audience of 12.9 million travel and lifestyle enthusiasts.  

Now, this does not come as a surprise to most of, if not all of us. But to score this top honor and to be amplified by such a widely read and respected partner is simply another reaffirmation of our destination’s reputation, value proposition and place ...
