WHAT'S HAPPENING IN TRAVEL & TOURISM

Rainbow Spring 2025 LGBTQ

Message from the President

Hello everyone:

Happy Thursday. Speaking of, later this afternoon is our annual “State of the Industry” event celebrating as a backdrop – National Travel & Tourism Month. Some of you may in fact be joining us today at 3 p.m. at Jungle Island for this important annual gathering. We have more than 600 RSVPs, so we expect a great afternoon of networking and engagement.

Keeping the momentum from the groundbreaking a few weeks ago of the new Miami Beach Convention Center on-campus headquarter hotel, one of the hotel developers – David Martin of Terra – is our featured guest speaker.

Our board chair, Julissa Kepner, is joining me on stage to share, illustrate and celebrate the power and impact of the tourism industry in terms of visitor and delegate spending, sales taxes generated by these visitors and jobs created and supported.

Following are three charts that really tell that story and why our combined success and growth really supports this place we call "Paradise."
