Sharing highlights from #GMCVB’s recent participation at GPS Destinations’ PlannerConnect event across Dallas, Houston and Austin. This series of events was an excellent opportunity for us to connect with our Texas-based clients! Each session attracted around 20-25 planners, offering a platform for insightful one-on-one discussions. These interactions helped us to foster valuable connections and gain a deeper understanding of the evolving needs and preferences of our attendees. The think tank sessions stood out as a particular highlight, delving into innovative topics such as AI integration, communication preferences and sustainability in meetings. The team also visited three prominent organizations and hosted an intimate lunch with ConferenceDirect, enhancing our collaborative efforts.

Thank you to all the entrepreneurs and business leaders who joined the event and to everyone who contributed to making the expo a place for learning and connection.

Last week, an exciting opportunity unfolded for our Black Hospitality Initiative (BHI) students at Community Night with F1. 🏁 Thanks to the coordination by #GMCVB board member, Marlon Hill, students enjoyed an unforgettable experience meeting key staff from Formula 1 and the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium. Special thanks to Dr. Graylyn Swilley Woods for facilitating this incredible opportunity, and to Sandra Washington-Moux, our dedicated BHI Education Specialist, for accompanying the students. A shout-out to Petra Brennan for her support as well! This event not only provided valuable insights into the world of professional sports and hospitality but also reinforced our commitment to nurturing future leaders in hospitality!
