Arts patrons, elected officials, business leaders, and enthusiasts united for an inspiring morning dedicated to celebrating our vibrant cultural community. The 2024 Serving the Arts Awards took place April 3 at Miami-Dade County Auditorium, honoring arts professionals, businesses, and community leaders across Miami-Dade County. This year, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is proud to be well-represented. Art of Black Miami, under the leadership of Petra Brennan, Director of Tourism Business Enhancement, has been selected by the Arts & Business Council for the Arts & Cultural Tourism Award. Congratulations to Rosie Gordon Wallace, founder of Diaspora Vibe Culture Arts Incubator (DVCAI) and our art liaison, who received the the inaugural Miami-Dade County Mayor’s Legacy in Arts Award. GMCVB Board member, Commissioner Keon Hardemon was recognized as the Elected Official of the Year. Our very own John Copeland, Director of Arts & Culture Tourism, was presented with the Shining Star Award. Kudos to all for their remarkable achievements! Click here for more. |
