Join the Washington Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) in commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Muhammad Ali's inaugural Heavyweight title triumph over Sonny Liston—a historic moment that unfolded right on Washington Avenue. To pay tribute to Ali's unparalleled legacy, the Washington Avenue BID, in collaboration with HistoryMiami Museum, presents the Muhammad Ali Historical Timeline. The Coconut Grove Arts Festival
 
The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is celebrating 60 years of artistic expression. SAVE THE DATE - Jazz in the Gardens
 
If you’re a jazz and R&B fan, you won’t want to miss the 17th annual Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival (JITG), which celebrates music, art and Black culture. They have dropped their full line-up. Both days are packed with great entertainment to include Jazmin Sullivan, Maxwell, Babyface, Kirk Franklin and more. It will be held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on March 9-10.  JITG is regarded as one of the most important annual live jazz and R&B events in the world.
Mark Your Calendar - Calle Ocho Music Festival
 
Come spend an energizing afternoon immersed in Greater Miami & Miami Beach’s Latin soul at the Calle Ocho Music Festival. The annual street party, will take place on March 10. It is one of the largest celebrations of its kind in the U.S. – and for more than 40 years, it has been a landmark event for residents and visitors alike. Miami Celebrates Black History Month
 
The Miami-Dade Black Affairs Advisory Board (BAAB) along with various community-based organizations, recognizes several events paying homage to the African American Diaspora for Black History Month, while observing this year’s theme as established by the National Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALFH). The theme for 2024 is African Americans and the Arts. African American art is infused with African, Caribbean, and the Black American lived existence and provides insight into these impassioned experiences. Dranoff 2 Piano's annual West African Beats concert series returns to the Miami Beach Bandshell February 11 bringing the masterful trumpet playing of millennial jazz and world music artist Jean Caze. A rising star in the world of jazz, Caze is known for his unique blend of African and Caribbean influences, rooted in his Haitian heritage. Caze will be joined by Latin Grammy-nominee Martin Bejerano and the West African Percussion Jazz Ensemble. The Historic Hampton House Museum of Culture & Art, the only Green Book Hotel museum that exists in the world to date, launched its inaugural exhibition during Art Basel Miami Beach 2023.  The exhibition titled Gimme Shelter celebrates the history of this iconic site, as not only a safe space but a sacred space for shelter-- a place of warmth, hospitality, and community.  The exhibition is a collection of important works from Greater Miami’s top gallerists and local artists as well as the international diaspora. Raymond Elman: The Portraits
 
Raymond Elman chronicled his life in the artistic community of Outer Cape Cod spanning from 1970 to the present. During this period, he created expansive mixed-media portraits of notable people that the artist encountered in his life and with whom he has forged formidable relationships with. Juan Francisco Elso: Por América 
 
Francisco Elso: Por América offers a captivating retrospective of the brief, yet significant career of the late Cuban artist. The exhibition  presents the largest survey of Elso’s career to-date, showcasing the evolution of his practice, from his experimentation with new materials to incorporating Indigenous traditions, Afro-Caribbean beliefs, and post-colonial perspectives. Vizcaya’s Kitchen and The Clafoutis Sonata
 
What might Vizcaya's historic kitchen have looked like in 1916, when the estate was the private home of James Deering? Inspired by this concept, their new exhibit features a newly commissioned work by local artists Karla Caprali and Sophia Cabral, a dynamic mother-daughter duo. Vizcaya’s historic kitchen has been transformed with a site-specific multimedia installation. The exhibit titled Vizcaya’s Kitchen and The Clafoutis Sonata, melds history, storytelling, and animation to create an installation that brings the historic kitchen to life. The installation will be on view through April 29.

Explore the life and career of the legendary Queen of Salsa at the inaugural Celia Cruz Forever exhibit, on display at Tower Theater. With a focus on Cruz's time in Miami, the exhibit celebrates the Salsa icon's legacy through photographs, personal documents, performance costumes, reproduction of her dressing room and her music. Award-winning producer and Cruz's talent manager Omer Pardillo-Cid is responsible for the exhibit's curation.
