Miami Bayside Foundation Small Business Training
 
Enrollment for the Miami Bayside Foundation's Small Business Workshop opens June 26. The program runs from July 18 through August 17.  The 15-session online workshop is geared towards helping business owners sharpen their entrepreneurial skills while learning how to prepare to access capital. Participating small businesses will complete workshop training led by industry professionals. The program is supported by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Buerau’s Tourism Business Enhancement Initiative with the mission to advocate, support, and strengthen the economic sustainability and access of multicultural communities and heritage-related businesses within the Greater Miami & Miami Beach as part of the efforts of the Multicultural Tourism & Development Department. The Young Women's Christian Association Women’s Empowerment 360° (WE360°) is a national program designed to help women of color overcome barriers to starting, growing, and sustaining businesses while providing them with educational tools to increase their knowledge and confidence as entrepreneurs. The Business Innovation & Technology (BIT) Center of Miami Dade College presents Legal Pitfalls Tech Businesses Should Avoid. They will offer seminars from highly trained business experts. During these workshops, companies will learn steps to successfully start and grow a business, review key financial concepts for small businesses, and how to start doing business with the government. Learn successful marketing strategies to grow your business. Gain insights from the lender’s perspective and steps you can take today to make your business more bankable. Participants who attend and complete the five (5) workshops will receive a certificate of completion from Florida SBDC at FIU. This workshop takes place on June 7 at the Marjorie and William McDonald Center in North Miami Beach.

Impacto Hispanic Business Accelerator
 
The PepsiCo Foundation created The Impacto Hispanic Business Accelerator to provide Hispanic food entrepreneurs with meaningful learning and networking opportunities, along with grant capital to fuel their business growth and empower them to overcome systemic disparities. Accion Opportunity Fund is proud to serve as one of the nonprofit partners hosting the Impacto program. At Accion Opportunity Fund they work closely with small business owners to provide them with fairly priced loans, educational resources, coaching, and support networks in English and Spanish. 2024 - 2025 Arts and Culture Grants Applications
 
Applications for the fiscal year 2024-2025 for General Program Support, Specific Cultural Projects, Cultural Facilities, and Cultural Endowment State Matching Share grant programs are now open! They must be submitted online using the Department of State (DOS) Grants System. The deadline for application submission is June 21. DOS Grants allow Floridians to apply for and manage grants offered by the DOS through the Divisions of Arts and Culture, Elections, Historical Resources and Library, and Information Services. These grants support Florida's position as the recognized national leader in these areas.

Calling South Florida Photographers
 
HistoryMiami Museum’s Center for Photography announces the continuation of its photography fellowship for local Black, Indigenous, People of Color and Latinx photographers to amplify community stories through their lenses. The fellowship offers one emerging, South Florida-based photographer with opportunities. Submissions for the 2023-2024 fellowship are due by June 30. Through Open For Business, funded by a grant from Wells Fargo, The Miami Foundation is supporting historically underinvested small businesses and nonprofits with grants and loans.
