In Celebration of Haitian Heritage Month Hilton Hotel Features Annick Duvivier
 
In celebration of Haitian Heritage Month, the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon invites you to an artist meet and greet on May 4.  Meet Haitian-Born, Miami-based visual artist Annick Duvivier. Her art exhibition Closer to Nature is on display in the lobby of the hotel. Annick is known for her mixed media collage painting.  She is currently creating artwork in her studio for her upcoming shows at the end of the year. Follow her journey on Instagram. Come and see the the artwork of Zeek Mathias. Dance to the music of Djawento, voices of Inez Barlatier, and Gina Demergeur Lasseur. The Museum of Contemporary Art Presents Public Exhibition Tours - Lonnie Holley and South Florida Cultural Consortium

Pérez CreARTE Grants offer $3.5M for the Arts
 
The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation aims to develop South Florida as a world-class urban center. In 2023 – 2025, the Foundation’s CreARTE Program will invest over $3.5 million in Miami-Dade organizations working to cultivate this ecosystem by expanding residents’ access to the arts and making our city a global hub for artistic excellence.  The Foundation believes that effective arts education can inspire creative development in local youth, drive a lifelong interest in and appreciation for the arts, and build audiences for the future. The Foundation seeks to support top artistic talent and attract artists to Miami by creating local fellowship and residency programs.  Applications close May 26. Here & Now: 2023 Commissioned Artists
 
Miami Light Project launched Here & Now in 1999, as the first program of its kind in South Florida dedicated to commissioning and presenting Miami-based performance and multi-media artists.  Here & Now commissioned artists are identified through an open request for proposals and selected through an adjudication process completed by a panel consisting of MLP programming team members, working artists, colleagues, and Here & Now Alumni.  Meet the 2023 commissioned artists here.

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Grant Guidelines
 
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs has released guidelines and deadline schedules for the fiscal year 2022-2023 fall cycle of arts and cultural grants programs available to Miami-Dade County based non-profit cultural groups. Guidelines containing information regarding eligibility requirements, funding requests and program criteria can be downloaded here. Grant guidelines can also be requested by calling the Department of Cultural Affairs at (305) 375-4634 or via email at culture@miamidade.gov.
