Celebrate Small Business Week May 1-5
 
Miami-Dade County's Small Business Development (SBD) Division will join many national and local organizations to celebrate the critical contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners. SBD will celebrate Small Business Week by holding five days of events May 1-5. Meet with representatives from several county departments and partnering agencies. The events are focused on celebrating the county’s small businesses and provide important information on business development opportunities through certification, contracts, capital and partnerships. Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau Hosted  Deep Dive Marketing Workshop to Support Small Business Entrepreneurs
 
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau's (GMCVB) Multicultural Tourism & Development Department, through its Tourism Business Enhancement (TBE) program, hosted a deep dive technical assistance marketing workshop to support small business entrepreneurs last April 25. The workshop titled 10 Marketing Strategies to Help Accelerate Your Small Business included helpful marketing strategies and trending new-age technology resources such as chatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help small businesses grow and thrive. The workshop was facilitated by Fabiola Fleuranvil, Chief Executive Officer for Blueprint Creative Group, and was hosted in partnership with the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency. 9 to Thrive Small Business Conference
 
9 to Thrive South Florida Small Business Conference will provide help and knowledge to small business owners looking to grow their business. This  conference will take place on May 6 and will also be streamed online. 9 to Thrive will not only provide business information to help aspiring and small business owners, but it will also provide the opportunity to celebrate aspiring entrepreneurs and local small business owners as well through providing grants and awards. Spanish Small Business Training Workshop Graduation
 
The Miami Bayside Foundation in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau's Tourism Business Enhancement program is graduating another class, fully in Spanish on May 10, as part of the Small Business Training.  The 14-session training is geared to small and mom & pop businesses interested in growing their business venture and learning sustainable practices around entrepreneurship. Strive305 Launches Training Series on Artificial Intelligence
 
The Strive305 digital marketing master class series, a collaboration between the Office of Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and BizHack Academy, is entering its eighth season and now turning its focus on emerging tools and techniques for marketing and sales using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT.  BizHack Academy will be presenting a total of 7 weekly classes that will go beyond the hype to delve into the specific AI tools and how to use them effectively. MDC’s Business Innovation & Technology Center Launches New Student Operated Digital Agency (SODA) 
 
Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Business Innovation & Technology (BIT) Center will launch the College’s first Student Operated Digital Agency (SODA) in the heart of downtown Miami. Through SODA, students interested in careers in marketing can obtain industry-recognized certifications, such as Google and Hootsuite free of charge, and will have the opportunity to work with local businesses and organizations to help them overcome marketing and business growth challenges. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses provides business education, support services and pathways to capital for growth-oriented entrepreneurs. Participants gain practical skill to take their business to the next level, with topics like financial statements, negotiations, and marketing. Participants develop an actionable growth plan for their business with the help of advisors and a network of like-minded entrepreneurs. The program is free for participants and delivered in partnership with academic institutions across the country. Business Entrepreneurship Specialist - College Credit Certificate by Miami Dade College
 
The Business Entrepreneurship Specialist College Credit Certificate is designed to prepare students for employment in entry-level positions or opening their own business or venture in the following areas: Family-Owned Business, Start-Up Venture, and Social Venture.
