Hello everyone,

Earlier this week we had the opportunity to recognize International Women’s Day and now celebrate Women’s History Month with you throughout March. Click here to learn some of the ways our community is celebrating and commemorating the spirit and context of Women’s History Month. We recognize the list may not be comprehensive and welcome your feedback on key events that could have been missed. And please do make it a point to participate in some of the great events if you or your colleagues can.

As we honor the contributions of women today and every day, I remain incredibly proud of the women on our team who lead and work at our organization, with our partners or with our clients. And I sincerely hope we lead by example. Four of our seven members of our senior management team are women.  Of GMCVB’s current 29 department directors and managers – 23 are women.  And of our 64 current full-time staff – 43 are women. Each of them would tell you about the importance of their mentors, previous role models and colleagues in our long history of women leaders at the GMCVB (staff and board) over the past 38 years that continues today. Let’s do take a moment and celebrate the trailblazers and our colleagues and recall the key roles so many played.
