MIA expecting record-breaking spring break travel

With Miami International Airport’s record-breaking growth carrying over from last year into 2023, the airport is expecting its busiest spring break travel season ever this month. Passenger totals at MIA in January and February were all-time highs for those months, with February bringing a total of 4.1 million passengers for an average of nearly 150,000 travelers per day – an increase of 7% over last February and 5% over February 2020 (pre-pandemic). According to aviation analytics provider Cirium, MIA is the fastest-growing U.S. airport in airline seats compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Celebrating International Woman’s Day

This morning, the GMBHA celebrated International Women’s Day, hosting the first annual Women Shaping Miami Power Breakfast. The event featured a panel of industry trailblazers including the GMCVB’s Connie Kinnard and Miami Beach Asst. City Manager Rickelle Williams.

In the Company of Women Awards

The 34th Annual In the Company of Women Awards celebrates the contributions of amazing women in our community who have excelled professionally and civically. Commemorating Women’s History Month, honorees include GMCVB board members Hydi Webb, PortMiami; Alexandra Villoch, Baptist Health Foundation; and Miami-Dade Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins. Presented by Miami-Dade Parks, The Parks Foundation and the Miami-Dade Commission for Women on March 16.

Magnifying Media and Proactive PR

The workshop explores how to think creatively and expansively about messaging to get your story told, promote meaningful engagement, and expand your business.

Gables Foundation gives

The Coral Gables Community Foundation is now accepting grant applications from non-profit organizations that have an impact in the Coral Gables community. Focus areas include Education, Arts & Culture, Social & Health Services and Placemaking & Historic Preservation. All programs or projects must have a direct benefit for the Coral Gables community.  Deadline for Letters of Inquiry is March 24.
