The Miami-Dade Business Navigator (MDBN) program is an exciting new local initiative funded, in part, through a grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The program brings together seven local groups working to expand their reach and support small and micro-businesses like yours. Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Business Innovation & Technology (BIT) Center will launch the College’s first Student Operated Digital Agency (SODA) in the heart of downtown Miami. Through SODA, students interested in careers in marketing can obtain industry-recognized certifications, such as Google and Hootsuite free of charge, and will have the opportunity to work with local businesses and organizations to help them overcome marketing and business growth challenges. Recently, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman , head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the voice for America's 32.5 million small businesses in President Biden's Cabinet, signed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum (SAM)--an authority unique to the SBA among federal agencies--with President Reuben A. Shelton III, Esq., on behalf of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)'s Council of Presidents, comprised of nine historically Black fraternities and sororities, sometimes referred to as the "Divine Nine."
