U.S. Travel Urges Congress to Improved Visa Wait-Times |

| As of July 2022, in the top 10 inbound markets to the U.S. that require a visitor visa, the average wait-time for an interview for new applicants was more than 440 days. U.S. Travel is urging U.S. representatives in Congress to sign a bi-partisan letter requesting the State Department help reduce wait times and facilitate greater international travel to the U.S. which would accelerate tourism by 2.2 million visitors and $5.2 billion in spending within six months.
