FIFA Names Miami-Dade World Cup Host |
|
Last week, our community celebrated as Miami was named one of 16 destinations across Canada, Mexico and the U.S. to host FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches. The announcement comes following five years of collaboration with the GMCVB, Miami-Dade County, Hard Rock Stadium and partners across the region to bring soccer’s premier sporting event to Greater Miami and Miami Beach. The 2026 World Cup will be the largest in history with 80 games played overall. A worldwide audience of 5 billion is projected in 2022, expected to be the most-watched to-date in tournament history. |
