| Juneteenth, a portmanteau of “June” and “nineteenth,” commemorates the day 250,000 African Americans were finally informed they had been freed from slavery. Today, Juneteenth is regarded as a day to honor Black history and culture. The Black Affairs Advisory Board of Miami-Dade County invites you to celebrate at one of the many events scheduled throughout Greater Miami & Miami Beach. |
