Partnering with Visit Florida, the Communications team hosts top-tier Canadian publications May 13 -16, focusing on the destination’s great attractions, restaurants and soft adventures. Journalists represent Dreamscapes Magazine, Ottawa Life Magazine, Faze Magazine and Darling Escapes.
 
 
 
UK’s Evening Standard Features Destination
 
Communications assists David Williams, working on a destination feature May 13-16 for Standard.co.uk, the website for The Evening Standard, London’s free daily newspaper (unique users: 10.2 million/monthly page views: 35.7 million).
 
 
 
Welcome SweetHeat Miami 2022
 
The GMCVB’s LGBTQ+ Marketing and Multicultural Tourism teams welcome SweetHeat Miami May 11-16. A staple of celebration, appreciation and acceptance, SweetHeat Miami is the only experience cultivated for women of all backgrounds and identities in Greater Miami and Miami Beach.
 
 
 
Travel + Leisure Explores South Florida
 
Communications hosts Jessica Poitevien, on assignment for Travel + Leisure's digital platform (UVM: 5.5 million), May 14-15. Her “Exploring South Florida with Brightline” feature will focus on the ease of travel in South Florida via Brightline and highlights hotels, restaurants and attractions within five miles of Brightline’s Downtown Miami station. 
 
 
 
Cloud Summit at MBCC
 
In anticipation of Cloud Summit 2022, “Where the Summit Meets the Sand,” Convention Services worked with organizers to assist with their destination needs and offer delegates the newly created Show Your Badge-Deals for Delegates program. Cloud Summit will be showcasing their conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center May 16-19.  
 
 
 
Australia's Most Read Weekend Newspaper in Miami
 
Communications assists travel writer Rob McFarland May 18-22, working on a Wynwood neighborhood guide for Escape, Australia's most read weekend newspaper travel section (combined print & online readership: 3.5 million). McFarland is also working on pre/post cruise feature for Traveller, the travel insertion for The Sydney Morning Herald and Melbourne Age newspapers (combined print and online readership: 2.2 million).
 
 
 
American Association of Orthodontists at MBCC
 
The American Association of Orthodontists' Annual Session returns to Greater Miami and the Miami Beach Convention Center, May 21-24. Convention Services worked with show organizers to assist with destination needs and offer delegates the GMCVB’s newly created Show Your Badge-Deals for Delegates program.
 
 
 
Convention Sales to Connect's Spring Marketplace
 
Convention Sales travels to Puerto Rico for the Connect Spring Marketplace, May 22-24. The team will have two days of pre-set appointments with planners representing Citywide, Corporate and Diversity meetings. Convention Sales will also host 30 Citywide planners at a Miami-themed reception, where planners will get updates on the Miami Beach Convention Center and the latest in Greater Miami and Miami Beach.
 
 
 
Communications Hosts Tennessee Tribune 
 
The Communications team hosts travel editor Renuka Christoph, visiting Miami May 16-18 for a story on luxury travel getaways for The Tennessee Tribune, a weekly publication targeting today’s African American/Black families (UVM: 27,160/Readership: 150,000). 
 
 
 
Around the World with UK-based TikTok Influencers
 
Communications assists Live the Dash travel bloggers/influencers Jade & Ryan May 24-29 as part of a new TikTok series called 'Around the World' in A-Z. Traveling the world in alphabetical order for 26 weeks with Miami included as the M, the series, designed for their TikTok (6 million views per month), will also have a long form version for YouTube.
