Communications Assisting Michigan’s Big Show Radio Program
 
The Communications Team welcomes syndicated talk show host and travel writer Michael Patrick Shiels, broadcasting live from Miami January 25-28, for Michigan's Big Show, a full-service news talk radio program syndicated on 12 radio stations across Michigan. Michael also writes for Gannett Newspaper, Lansing State Journal, USA Today Network, Go World Travel Magazine, and TravelTattler.org. 
 
 
 
Miami Marathon Features in ESPN RUN Latin America 
 
The Communications Team hosts a TV crew from Argentina January 31-February 7, filming a documentary on the Miami Marathon featuring a race participant. Cameras film the runner through the various lenses of training, nutrition, lifestyle and a typical day in the life. The program airs all throughout Latin American and focuses on the journey, preparation and training of the race participant. Crew will film throughout the destination as well; the program airs spring 2022. 
 
 
 
Convention Services to ESPA 2022 
 
Director of Convention Services Vanessa Tamas travels to Kansas City, MO to attend the annual Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) January 21-23.  For 30 years, ESPA has been the only association and voice representing event service professionals from CVBs, hotels and convention centers across North America; the gathering will feature educational breakout sessions and other events created specifically for ESPA.   
 
 
 
Communications Assists UK’s Celebrity Radio and Voice of Reason
 
Communications assists Alex Belfield, a former BBC journalist of 20 years running a successful website called Celebrity Radio highlighting the world’s best hotels, restaurants, cities, attractions and celebrities. Belfield also launched his own YouTube talk channel, The Voice Of Reason, and will be in the destination through January 22, providing an update on Miami attractions for both outlets (361,000+ subscribers and over 1 million hits per day on YouTube).
 
 
 
Travel Industry Sales Team Set for Morris Columbus Travel Expo
 
In its 26th year, the Morris Columbus Travel Expo is Utah and the Intermountain West’s largest and longest running travel show.  Greater Miami and Miami Beach are one of the featured destinations during the January 28-29 Expo, where more than 7,500 consumers are expected.
 
 
 
Communications Hosts UK’s TravelMole
 
Communications hosts Graham McKenzie, managing director at TravelMole, while in the destination January 28-30 producing a Best Things To Do Guide that will be featured on TravelMole.com in February 2022. TravelMole is a trade news website focused on UK and international travel trade (100,000 UK subscribers; 1.5 million+ monthly unique users).
 
 
 
Convention Services Welcome OMBAS to Miami Beach
 
The Convention Services Team assisted organizers from the Original Miami Beach Antique Show (OMBAS) for their show at The Miami Beach Convention Center January 20-23.  This treasure trove of furniture, art, home décor, antiques, vintage and estate jewelry, watches and accessories hosts buyers, collectors, and hobbyists. Communications Hosts UK’s Olive Magazine
 
Communications hosts Alex Crossley, digital editor at Olive Magazine, one of the UK’s leading food and travel publications. She will be in the destination January 30-February 3 to update and expand their 2019 Destination Guide, as well as include in a podcast episode (350,000 monthly unique users).
