Free Small Business Training Opportunity Now Available 
 
Miami Bayside Foundation Small Business Training is now accepting applications for the Fall Small Business Training.  This free training is open to entrepreneurs seeking to take their small businesses to the next level. Small Busines owners interested in applying must be an active business in operation for a minimum of six months, at least 51% minority-owned, and located in Miami-Dade County. The Miami Bayside Foundation (MBF) Small Business training is supported by various partners including the GMCVB’s Multicultural Tourism & Development Department. Miami Bayside Foundation Hosts 2nd Spanish Small Business Entrepreneurial Training
 
After a successful launch of their Spanish Small Business Training over the summer, the Miami Bayside Foundation will host their second training program in Spanish beginning on September 14th  and running through October 6th.    The businesses enrolled in the program will receive training in topics such as Digital Marketing, Accounting & Financial Projections, Legal and Small Business Certification all taught by industry experts. YWCA Women’s Entrepreneurship 360° Program
 
Ready to take your business to the next level? Join the YWCA Women’s Entrepreneurship 360° Program. The program is designed to help women of color overcome barriers to starting, growing and sustaining businesses while providing them with educational tools to increase their knowledge and confidence as entrepreneurs. In professional workshops, they will learn from some of the brightest minds in business, learn about access to financial capital, and build a powerful network of professional support. Selected candidates full program tuition will be covered by the Goldman Sachs Foundation! Small Business Entrepreneurs Complete Training to Help Them Thrive
 
Congratulations to the Miami Bayside Foundation 2021 Summer small business graduating class.  On Thursday, August 19th, 37 small businesses completed their 14-session online entrepreneurial training led by industry professionals in various business subject areas. The training helped participating businesses sharpen their entrepreneurial skills, grow and become sustainable. The Miami Bayside Foundation Small Business training is supported by various partners including the GMCVB’s Tourism Business Enhancement Initiative, helping small businesses build capacity and gain economic sustainability. The virtual graduation including GMCVB representatives including Connie Kinnard and Petra Brennan with the Multicultural Tourism & Development and Rolando Aedo, GMCVB, Chief Operating Officer who brought congratulatory remarks to the spring 2021 cohort. GMCVB In Partnership with Orange Blossom Classic Host Tourism Customer Service Workshop In Miami Gardens
 
The GMCVB Multicultural Tourism & Development in Partnership with Orange Blossom Classic hosted a Tourism Customer Service Workshop Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Oasis at Miami Gardens.  The workshop titled “Winning Customers Through Winning Service” was geared to small businesses and offered information on how they could connect their business products and services to customers that generate and influence Miami’s billion-dollar tourism industry as well as learning how to leverage different tourism opportunities in Greater Miami like the Orange Blossom Classic happening in September.  The workshop was presented as part of the GMCVB Multicultural Tourism & Development Tourism Business Enhancement Program to provide capacity support to Greater Miami’s small business community impacted by tourism.  GMCVB President & CEO Bill Talbert as well as Multicultural VP Connie Kinnard and Coordinator, Herlinda Lombardi were in attendance. The workshop presenters included Petra Brennan, GMCVB Director of Tourism Business Enhancement, Rashad D. Thomas, Community Liaison, Orange Blossom Classic and  Ed Ponder, Hospitality Trainer and Founder of REDNOP Management Group.
