GMCVB President & CEO Attended Miami-Dade Aviation Department’s Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Frontier Airlines

GMCVB President & CEO William D. Talbert, III, CDME joined the Miami-Dade Aviation Department for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Frontier Airlines’ inaugural flight to Miami from Montego Bay, Jamaica on May 28. Frontier Airlines will be operating three weekly services to Miami on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Miami International Airport is currently the busiest airport in the United States for international passengers and is experiencing steady increases in travelers to Greater Miami following the pandemic.

Convention Sales Returns from CONNECT

The Convention Sales Team returned from a successful showing during the Corporate and Diversity pre-set appointments at CONNECT. RFPs for future business were received and many clients expressed interest in the possibility of convening in Greater Miami. Convention Sales in partnership with Tourism Sales, hosted clients at an event which resulted in additional RFPs.

Convention Sales Hosted INDA Site Visit

INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry conducted a successful site visit of the Miami Beach Convention Center and area hotels, May 17-20 for IDEA 2022. IDEA ® draws the world’s premier professionals in nonwovens and engineered fabrics, giving buyers the chance to connect with idea drivers in the industry.
