International Award-Winning jazz Vocalist Nicole Henry Celebrates Her 8th Annual Winter Concert - Now a Virtual Worldwide Event
 
Internationally acclaimed jazz recording artist Nicole Henry will premiere her virtual concert "I Sing Because I'm Happy” on Saturday, December 19th at 8pm EST presented by Savage Ticket.  This 8th Annual Winter Concert, which benefits Miami Music Project, a 501(c)(3), will be filmed live from Pinecrest Gardens - a tropical oasis and beautiful outdoor concert venue in South Florida.  For seven years this event usually sold out to a 400-seat audience in Miami Beach, but now fans from around the world will have a safe, front-row seat to this six-camera, 8-piece band concert experience.  To purchase tickets click here.
 
 
 
Free Food Distributions
 
The Marlins and Miami Marlins Foundation, in partnership with Feeding South Florida, are organizing free food distributions at Gwen Cherry Park on Wednesday, December 9th and 16th at 1:00 p.m. You can find the full schedule of distributions and locations here.

 
 
 
Bright Lights Miami
 
Virginia Key Beach Park Trust presents Bright Lights Miami, an immersive lights and laser sensory experience that physically guides the audience along a fixed course of dynamically designed audiovisual installations. Enjoy over a mile of specially designed audiovisual installations for a drive-thru/drive-in a mesmerizing laser and light show, surrounded with spectacular sounds from a live performance, all while maintaining physical distance and staying completely safe! Running November 20 – January 10, 2021, Friday – Sunday every weekend in two unique episodes 6 PM-8 PM & 9 PM-11 PM at the majestic Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. The GMCVB supports the Bright Lights Miami experience.
 
 
 
To Miami With Love
 
The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce will virtually host its 15th Annual Holiday Gala on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 6 p.m. The event will be hosted by entertainer and comedian Bill Bellamy. Red Rooster Overtown Opens its Doors
 
On December 3rd, Chef Marcus Samuelsson debuted Red Rooster Overtown, it’s the third location for the concept, which serves “American roots” comfort food, infused with the flavors and personality of the neighborhood in which it resides — and with a contemporary twist. It also marks Samuelsson’s first South Florida outpost, a collaboration with developers Michael Simkins and Derek Fleming, with operations helmed by Grove Bay Hospitality Group. The Doral Contemporary Art Museum (DORCAM) Presents: Manolo Valdés - The Legacy
 

The Doral Contemporary Art Museum (DORCAM) presents 'Manolo Valdés - The Legacy,' an outdoor exhibition of monumental sculptures by this world-renowned Contemporary Art Master. In partnership with the City of Doral, the monumental sculptures will be installed in the main public parks of the City of Doral as well as other selected locations. Share Your Mariel Story
 
HistoryMiami Museum and the Cuban Heritage Collection at the University of Miami Libraries have partnered on a year-long program, El Efecto Mariel: Before, After, and During, comprising of webinars, live film streamings, informal talks, oral histories, and exhibitions.  You can share your personal memories, stories, and reflections related to Mariel. Stories will be collected virtually on a rolling basis and a series of prompts give you ideas from where you can begin your story. Submitted stories will become part of the permanent collections of the HistoryMiami Museum and Cuban Heritage Collection and featured on both online platforms. Learn more.
